The #3 seed Lady Tigers took on the second-seeded Lady Caimans of Hostos with a spot in the CUNY Championship game on the line.
Gessell Prentice scored 8 of her 14 points in the first half, but Hostos led 29-23 at the break. Queensborough cut the lead to 41-38 with10:49 remaining, and neither team would score for the next three and a half minutes. Kristina Shcherban scored the next four points, and QCC was not able to come from behind.
CUNY Player of the Year Shantana Kanhoye tied for the QCC team lead with 14 points, but also turned the ball over 14 times. Hostos' Mecca Norfleet scored 14 points and added eight assists. Melsha Messam was named Player of the Game, with 15 points and 15 rebounds, and made it difficult for QCC to score inside. The Lady Tigers were held to under 30 percent shooting for the game.
