The underdog Queensborough Tigers looked to stop a Bronx Bronco three-peat in the CUNY Championship Game. The Broncos jumped out to a 13-5 lead, and kept up the hot shooting, scoring 46 points in the first half and taking a 19 point lead into the break. Ronnell Ross and Ronald Washington led Bronx with 11 points apiece in the first half.

The Tigers would fall behind 48-27 before putting a scare into the Broncos. QCC would go on a 17-4 run, sparked by Troy Singleton's 4-point play. With seven minutes to play a Singleton three made it 63-58, forcing Bronx coach Sean Kelly to call timeout. Back to back threes by Jamal Celestin and Ross made it 69-58, and the Broncos were ahead to stay.

Bronx won 83-68, clinching its 3rd CUNY Title in a row, and its first under Sean Kelly. Ronnell Ross was named Player of the Game, leading the way with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jamal Celestin and Ronald Washington scored 18 points apiece for the victorious Broncos. Derrick Fernandez added 16 points to go along with his 11 assists. Troy Singleton led Robert Holford's squad with 24 points, including five three-pointers. Andre McFarlane recorded a double-double, with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
