For some, this is a “welcome back” from summer leave. For many who have worked this summer with our students in and outside of the classroom, it is the formal beginning of the academic year.
Please join us to reflect on our accomplishments over the last year, and learn about many changes, including the expansion of the Queensborough Academies to serve all full time degree students from admission to graduation—and the addition of several new High Impact Activities, led by our faculty.
A preview of our updated website design for academic programs and articulation will be offered, as well as a demonstration of our newest initiative to support student retention and success: “Starfish”. The program will conclude with a “look ahead” to the 2013-14 academic year, including our comprehensive program for faculty and staff development, and news about the upcoming Periodic Review for institutional re-accreditation.
This event will be an opportunity to catch up with colleagues, meet our newest faculty colleagues, as well as introduce campus leaders in the administration, Academic Senate, Faculty Executive Committee and the PSC.
